Under-Sink Organizers: A Guide for Wholesale Buyers
The first decision when sourcing an under-sink organizer is whether the product will stand inside the cabinet or be fixed to it. That choice determines what the customer must measure, how the product is presented, and which installation information belongs in the box. Both formats can include sliding baskets. A pull-out drawer alone does not tell you whether an organizer is freestanding or cabinet-mounted.
For wholesale buyers and private-label brands, start with the intended use and a suitable standard model. Then discuss branding, packaging and any changes to the product. This guide compares the two formats and explains what to settle before requesting samples or a quotation.

Freestanding or cabinet-mounted?
A freestanding organizer rests on the cabinet floor without being fixed to the cabinet. It is worth considering when the intended customer wants removable storage or does not want to attach hardware to the cabinetry. Freestanding does not necessarily mean supplied fully assembled: check the assembly instructions for the selected model.
A cabinet-mounted organizer is secured inside the cabinet. It suits projects where fixed pull-out storage forms part of the cabinet arrangement. The mounting requirements need to be clear before ordering, particularly when the product will be sold online to customers fitting it themselves.
| Selection point | Freestanding organizer | Cabinet-mounted organizer |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | Rests inside the cabinet without cabinet fixing | Fixed inside the cabinet |
| Main fit checks | Product footprint, usable height and sliding clearance | Required installation space, cabinet opening and sliding clearance |
| Plumbing | Check clearance around the frame and baskets | Check clearance around the frame, baskets and slide assembly |
| Our reference range | Models 005, 006, 009 and 010 | Under-Sink Basket series, including 418114 |
| Slide configuration | Non-ball-bearing mechanisms in the four reference models | Ball-bearing slides; soft-close or non-soft-close configurations can be discussed |
These slide descriptions refer to our ranges shown here. They are not definitions of all freestanding or cabinet-mounted organizers on the market. Soft-close is an option to specify when ordering, not a feature to assume from a product photograph.
The useful question is which format fits the intended customer's cabinet and willingness to install it. Avoid treating either format as universally better.
Check the space around the plumbing
An under-sink cabinet is rarely an empty box. The sink bowl reduces usable height; drainpipes, valves and other fittings interrupt the space below it. Door hinges and the cabinet opening can also limit the path of a sliding basket.
Record the usable width, depth and height where the organizer will sit. Include a photograph showing the pipes and the open cabinet doors. For a pull-out design, check the path of the basket as it moves forward, not only the space occupied when it is closed.
Product dimensions and required installation space should remain separate in the quotation and listing. In our catalogue, model 418114 measures 11 × 18 × 14.8 inches, while its required depth is listed as 20 inches. A cabinet with only 18 inches of usable depth therefore should not be selected simply because the product itself is 18 inches deep.
For a wholesale assortment, publish clear dimensions and show the product in an understandable cabinet setting. A generic claim that an organizer fits every sink cabinet gives buyers less useful information than a simple measurement diagram.
Standard under-sink organizers to consider
Freestanding references: 005, 006, 009 and 010
These four models provide a starting point for comparing existing freestanding designs. All use non-ball-bearing sliding mechanisms. Review the photographs to identify the frame and basket arrangement closest to your intended product, then request the specification for that exact model.
Keep the first discussion focused on the overall format, usable space and preferred appearance. Load capacity, height adjustment and assembly details can be confirmed once a model has been shortlisted. Specifications for one reference model should not be transferred to the others.
Cabinet-mounted reference: the Under-Sink Basket series
Our catalogue lists four sizes in this steel, chrome-plated range:
| Catalogue model | Product dimensions, W × D × H | Required depth |
|---|---|---|
| 418114 | 11 × 18 × 14.8 in | 20 in |
| 418144 | 14 × 18 × 14.8 in | 20 in |
| 421114B | 11 × 21 × 14.8 in | 23 in |
| 421144 | 14 × 21 × 14.8 in | 23 in |
The products are fixed inside the cabinet and use ball-bearing slides. Soft-close and non-soft-close configurations can be discussed for the project. Confirm the selected configuration in the quotation rather than relying on the general series description.
These dimensions are a shortlisting aid. Pipe positions and the cabinet opening still need to be checked. Other cabinet pull-out baskets may also be candidates where space permits, but a general cabinet basket should not automatically be described as suitable for every under-sink layout. The wider cabinet organizer range provides additional references.
Plan the wholesale order and packaging together
A useful quotation starts with quantity per model and configuration. A total of 1,000 units split across several designs is a different request from 1,000 units of one design. State the intended split, preferred finish and whether the order needs individual branded packaging.
For e-commerce sales, ask for the packed dimensions and gross weight as well as the product dimensions. The retail box, protective packing and included hardware affect the size and weight of the unit that is actually shipped. Use the final packing specification when evaluating your delivery costs.
Before confirming a production order, agree on:
- The model, configuration and quantity per item.
- The sample to approve and any agreed changes.
- The logo, label and packaging files required.
- What is included in each retail pack.
- The delivery destination and quotation basis.
Sample arrangements, standard-model minimum quantities and production timing are confirmed for the specific request. This keeps a preliminary product discussion separate from the terms of an actual order.
Private label, labeling and custom development
These requests are often grouped together, but they involve different work.
Private label means selling the product under your own brand. A project may involve a logo and branded packaging on a suitable existing model. Discuss which branding methods are practical for the chosen material and finish, and confirm that the model is available for your intended sales channel.
Labeling concerns the labels applied to the product or packaging. Brand labels and fulfillment labels serve different purposes. We can discuss labeling support, but the artwork, label files and placement requirements need to be agreed for the order. A brand logo does not replace a fulfillment barcode.
Custom product development involves changes such as dimensions, frame construction, basket arrangement or slide configuration. Our minimum order quantity for a custom design is 1,000 units. Prototype feasibility, development costs and any tooling requirements are assessed separately. This custom-design minimum should not be used as a blanket MOQ for a standard item or a labeling-only request.
If an existing design is close to your requirements, identify exactly what needs to change. A marked-up photograph or dimensioned sketch is more useful than asking for a product that is simply stronger, larger or more premium.
Questions from Amazon sellers and wholesale buyers
Can a standard organizer be sold under my own brand?
Private-label options can be discussed for suitable models. Share the model number, quantity, intended sales channel and branding requirements. Model availability and any applicable channel restrictions must be confirmed before committing to the project.
Can you help with labels and Amazon packaging requirements?
We can discuss product labeling and packaging for your order. Provide the requirements applicable to your marketplace, product and shipment, together with the relevant files. Check the current instructions in your seller account, including Amazon's shipping label requirements. Selecting an organizer does not by itself establish that its packaging is ready for a particular fulfillment shipment.
Does a freestanding pull-out organizer need cabinet fixing?
The freestanding models discussed here rest inside the cabinet without cabinet fixing. Assembly requirements are model-specific. Confirm those requirements before describing a product as ready to use out of the box.
Can I choose soft-close slides?
Soft-close and non-soft-close options can be discussed for our cabinet-mounted ball-bearing slide range. The four freestanding reference models in this guide use non-ball-bearing mechanisms. Confirm any requested change as part of the product specification.
What should I provide for a custom quotation?
Send a reference model or sketch, the changes required, target dimensions, quantity and destination. Include any branding and packaging requirements. Custom designs start at 1,000 units, with sample and development arrangements assessed for the individual project.
Request a shortlist for your project
Start with three decisions: freestanding or cabinet-mounted, the usable cabinet space, and the expected quantity per model. Add a reference photograph and your branding or packaging requirements if these are already available.
Send your request to [email protected]. We can then discuss suitable standard models or assess whether custom development is appropriate, and confirm the detailed specifications for the products you select.
